Cannabis Use Increases Ketamine Requirements and Hospital Stay

San Diego—People who use cannabis had higher intraoperative ketamine requirements and longer hospital lengths of stay, researchers found in a study. The findings add to earlier evidence that use of the substance has implications for perioperative anesthesia.

However, because of the nature of the study, caution was urged in its interpretation.
