In light of these findings, the researchers urged their peers to consider the effect that the type of sedative agent has on delirium when patients are deeply sedated for a lengthy period.“This is the third in a series of papers on sedation during mechanical ventilation,” said Matthias Eikermann, MD, PhD, who was the vice chair of
