Factor and Fibrinogen Products May Help Some Patients Avoid Allogeneic Blood Products for Cardiac Surgeries

PALM SPRINGS, Calif.—Nonsurgical coagulopathy can be managed safely and effectively with various combinations of factor concentrates and fibrinogen concentrates—along with allogeneic blood products—in patients undergoing cardiac surgeries, new research has concluded.
