Boston—With the COVID-19 crisis yet to peak around the world and supplies of mechanical ventilators steadily growing shorter in some locations, a group of enterprising anesthesiologists from Massachusetts General Hospital is trying to make a difference. Their CoVent-19 Challenge is calling upon engineers, innovators, designers and manufacturers around the world to propose designs that may help to dramatically expand hospitals’ current ventilation abilities.
