Sedation or No for Ventilated ICU Patients: Time for an Individualized Approach?

In a multicenter, randomized controlled trial involving mechanically ventilated ICU patients, mortality at 90 days did not differ significantly between patients who were assigned to a plan of no sedation and those assigned to light sedation with daily interruption.
