Consider Adding the iPACK Block for TKA Pain

The iPACK block is a viable choice for reducing immediate postoperative pain after total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

A systematic review and meta-analysis found that patients who received the iPACK block—which comprises local anesthetic infiltration between the popliteal artery and capsule of the knee—had lower pain scores with movement in the PACU than their counterparts who underwent traditional regional anesthetic care without the iPACK block.
