Healthcare provider attitudes show a positive inclination toward further reducing opioid prescriptions at discharge after surgery, according to a study presented at the 2024 annual meeting of the American Society of Enhanced Recovery and Perioperative Medicine (ASER PM).
An enhanced recovery after surgery program was initiated at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, in 2014. “Subsequently, we realized that although we had successfully decreased our intraoperative and
