Anesthesia’s Cognitive Effects In Young Children Vary by Age

Vancouver, British Columbia—An association between multiple exposures to general anesthesia in the first two years of life and increased risk for neurocognitive impairment was not found in two large Canadian studies. Exposures from 2 to 4 years of age, however, were another matter.
