Low Pre-op Fibrinogen Levels Linked to Increased Blood Loss for Liver Transplant Patients

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia—A Canadian study has concluded that there is a robust linear association between preoperative fibrinogen levels below 3.0 g/L and increased blood loss among patients undergoing a liver transplant for end-stage liver disease.
