A 22-year-old woman, with a body mass index of 35 kg/m2, presented to the emergency department with altered consciousness, 6 days after the uneventful delivery of a full-term healthy infant. According to her husband, less than 1 hour before admission, she experienced a sudden, severe thunderclap headache, rapidly progressing to confusion.
