The Impact of COVID-19: Migrating Procedures to Outpatient Surgery
This article is based on a symposium held at the 2022 Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons, and describes the use of enhanced recovery protocols and implementation of a multimodal analgesic approach, with liposomal bupivacaine as a key component, in minimizing opioid use in the wake of the migration of various types of surgery, including colorectal and breast procedures, to the outpatient setting.
