Airway on Demand: Overshooting the Larynx

In this episode, William Rosenblatt, MD, provides a brief example of overshooting the larynx with a video laryngoscope.

Novice video laryngoscopists often insert the laryngoscope blade too deeply and “miss” the larynx. In this case, the distorted anatomy is deceiving, and is only recognized once the laryngoscope has been retreated. Practicing epiglottiscopy can avoid this error.
