BOSTON—Although necrotizing soft tissue infections may be rare, they nevertheless have led to many malpractice claims over the past 30 years, sometimes with costly outcomes for surgeons, according to a new review.
Researchers at SUNY Upstate Medical University, in Syracuse, N.Y., found that delays in diagnosis and timely management of these infections was the most common reason
