Scottsdale, Ariz.—A 63-year-old man admitted to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) with unrelenting cancer-related pain and other complications of metastatic disease benefited from a trial and subsequent permanent implantation of a spinal cord stimulator (SCS), after other multitiered approaches by interventional pain providers failed to address the patient’s cancer-related pain.
