The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS; see acronyms sidebar) released two final rules in early November that will affect payment for physician services. On Nov. 2, CMS released the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule, which governs payment for physician services beginning Jan. 1, 2018.
