The LMA® Airway portfolio now includes offerings with Cuff Pilot™ technology, the original integrated cuff pressure indicator. This novel technology is a single-use device and provides constant inside-the-cuff pressure indication, allowing for at-a-glance clinical assessments. In addition, the robust airway portfolio now offers a full range of single-use silicone laryngeal masks. Also featured is the LMA Supreme® Airway, which combines the best features of all previous LMA Airways to offer the highest degree of safety and ease of use. Whether for a routine procedure or to manage a higher-risk patient, the higher seal pressure and gastric access provide a higher degree of safety. The LMA Supreme® Airway is designed to channel fluids away from the airway in the unlikely event of active or passive regurgitation and allows for diagnostic testing and verifiable positioning.

Needle-Free Solutions for Drug Delivery

image

The LMA® Atomization family of products from Teleflex provides a simple-to-use, needle-free delivery solution for use with drugs approved for intranasal and/or oropharyngeal delivery. The LMA® MAD Nasal™ Intranasal Mucosal Atomization Device is the safe and painless choice that offers quick absorption across mucosal membranes to the bloodstream. The LMA® MADgic® Laryngo-tracheal Mucosal Atomization Device is a versatile choice to administer medication across the entire upper airway and beyond the vocal cords. The LMA® MADgic Airway™ Intubating Airway with Mucosal Atomization and Oxygen Delivery is an innovative choice to create a temporary airway to facilitate fiber-optic intubation, combining atomized topical anesthetic and oxygen delivery in an innovative and elegantly designed oral airway.

Post-op Pain Management Solutions

image

For most patients, postoperative pain is their primary concern before surgery, and nearly 80% of patients who experience postoperative pain report experiencing moderate to extreme pain.1 This is why every day we challenge the status quo by offering practical pain management solutions to deliver positive outcomes for the patient and provider.

Continuous peripheral nerve blocks have been proven to offer superior postoperative analgesia and improve patient satisfaction compared with opioids, while resulting in fewer minor complications, including nausea/vomiting, pruritus and sedation.2 The Arrow® FlexBlock® Echogenic Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block (CPNB) Catheter and the Arrow® AutoFuser® Disposable Pain Pump from Teleflex allow clinicians to combine efficient and accurate catheter placement with a reliable, unimpeded infusion of medication. The Arrow® FlexBlock® CPNB Catheter is an echogenic, flexible, kink-resistant catheter designed to help clinicians better control patient pain and improve overall block success. The Arrow® AutoFuser® Disposable Pain Pump offers the right pain pump to meet a variety of clinical demands, allowing clinicians to provide individualized patient pain control and adjust therapy as needed.

Enabling Greater Access to Video Laryngoscopy

image

The Rusch® Airtraq™ Avant™ Video Laryngoscope System provides users with an affordable video solution when and where it is needed. The system allows clinicians to project what they are seeing during intubation on a number of different platforms through a Wi-Fi connection. This allows the clinician to share his or her view with others, and increases visibility while intubating. The convenience of the Rusch® Airtraq™ Avant™ Video Laryngoscope System is that it requires little in the way of capital expenditures and allows clinicians to reuse the optics. The image can be projected up to 50 times before replacement. The Airtraq™ Avant™ Blades, which are available in two sizes, are fully disposable to reduce the risk for cross-contamination, enhancing patient safety.

Reducing Cross-Contamination, Reducing Cost

image

The risk for cross-contamination during intubation of the trachea exists because no perfect procedure for decontamination exists.3 Single-use devices offer the opportunity to reduce potential for infection associated with reusable devices.

Green Rusch Lite™ and Rusch® EquipLite® Disposable Metal Laryngoscope Blades are single-use blades that offer users the performance and feel of a reusable metal blade. These blades eliminate the hassles associated with reusable blades, such as the time and cost of reprocessing, without sacrificing strength or light quality.

The Rusch® DispoLED® Single-Use Fiber Optic Laryngoscope Handle is a reliable way to combat intubation infection risk. With its ISO 7376 compliant fittings, the green handle of the Rusch® DispoLED® Device can also be safely integrated with other compatible fiber-optic/green systems in use in the hospital.

Reducing Waste Anesthetic Gas Exposure in the PACU

image

An invisible risk exists in the PACU. Patients may exhale waste anesthetic gas (WAG) into the breathing zone of attending nurses.4 Although WAG cannot be detected by sight or odor, PACU clinicians can take action to protect themselves from the potential health effects.

The first of its kind on the market, the ISO-Gard® Mask with ClearAir™ Technology from Teleflex was developed in partnership with clinicians who identified the issue and wanted to take action. As the only solution currently available for source control of WAG in the PACU, the ISO-Gard® Mask scavenging system simultaneously delivers oxygen to patients and scavenges their exhalation to help limit exposure faced by clinicians and minimize the cumulative effect of low-level exposure to WAG.
